Taxis in Paris are a minor luxury that many visitors to the city take advantage of. The Paris public transport system and especially the metro is first class, but there are occasions when taxis in Paris come into their own - sometimes you just cant beat that door to door service.

The metro system tends to finish up long before many late night clubbers and party goers wish to come home - see running times here - and, if a chap has any sense, he will know that stiletto heels and long walks do not usually make for a great end to the evening - Likewise a wet Paris evening combined with a walk to that great little restaurant a couple of miles away, might not just be the best way to start a night out.
